We are a wholly owned Australian Family Business located on the Central Coast of New South Wales. The business has been operating for over 14 years. For a majority of those 14 years the business concentrated on manufacturing and installing pool blankets, both solar pool blankets and leaf and debris pool blankets to a customer base throughout Sydney, the Hunter and the Central Coast. What set Australis Pool Covers (as it was then known) apart from the other suppliers of pool covers in the marketplace was that each and every pool cover was manufactured to the shape of the customer’s pool, thus minimising waste and providing the best results. To date Australis Manufacturing still produce custom fitting pool covers made from only the best materials. Like the other reputable solar blanket suppliers, Australis Manufacturing use Watermark Approved Solar Pool Cover material manufactured in Australia, for Australian conditions. We are constantly seeing the aftermath of cheap imported materials and the dissatisfaction on customers who have been sold this inferior product, we stand by our product and the warranty provided as we know our products will last. Australis are also a founding member of PASCAA, (Pool and Spa Cover Association of Australia),the association was established to create a series of manufacturing and ethical standards for the sale of solar blanket material sold in Australia.
During the last 3 years, we have forged new and exciting arms to the business, Shade Sails, Glass Fencing and Solar Pool Heating. As we were previously in and around the property of so many clients with our pool covers, we were constantly asked the question – “can you point me in the direction of a Fencing Contractor?” “Or how can I produce some shade around this pool?” Rather than referring this potential business away, we decided to align ourselves with some of the best manufacturers of each of these products in Australia and become agents throughout our region. After some lengthy research we settled on a particular product range and we are extremely happy with the products and services we can now provide.
We dabbled very briefly in manufacturing our own Shade Sails, however, our results quite simply were not good enough. As it turned out, arguably the best Shade Sail Manufacturer in the country, Global Shade and Sails http://www.globalshade.com.au were searching for an agent throughout the Greater Sydney, Hunter and Central Coast area. We now consult and converse with the design and construction team of Global Shade and Sails heavily on our Shade Sail and Shade Structure projects. With nearly 20 years of experience in the manufacture of sails, they are a great source of knowledge to be aligning our business. Australis Manufacturing when planning and constructing our pool fencing projects work very closely with the client, their objectives and how these objectives fit within Australian Standard AS1926.1-2007 Swimming Pool Safety. Part 1: Safety Barriers for Swimming Pools.
As the Standard explains “The objective of this standard is to assist pool owners/ users in avoiding pool related drowning by providing design and construction and performance of various barrier options, which are designed to deny, delay or detect unsupervised entry to the swimming pool area by young children …. Statistical evidence shows that the majority of drowning deaths in private swimming pools involve children under five years of age. For this reason, the requirements established by the Standard are directed at obtaining a barrier that will make it difficult for a young child to gain access to a pool area, whether under, over, or through the barrier.” All of the glass used conforms to Australian Standard is toughened with polished edges. For Semi Frameless fencing 10mm Glass is used with Powder coated aluminium posts. Frameless Glass fencing utilises 12mm Glass with 316 Stainless Steel Spigots.
